January Makeup Menu

January Makeup Menu
As January has come to an end I thought I'd share the products I absolutely loved during the blue month! My makeup basically stayed the same except for the odd day when I bought a new product and wanted to try it out. But I'm sure you'll be seeing them products very soon here on Darling Jordan.

One thing that did change a lot this month was Primers. I use my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water without fail, I honestly cannot live without it, it is honestly one of the best products I've ever come across. However half way through the month I was given a sample pot of their new primer that was just launched and so I used that along with the water for half the month. Spoiler alert I bought the full sized product because it is amazing! More on that to come in a post soon! Back to the Primer Water if you haven't tried this yet you need too! It is honestly one of the most refreshing products ever and it surprisingly works and keeps your makeup on all day. What I also love about this is you can spray it throughout the day if you'd like to just give your face a little refresh and it won't ruin your makeup in anyway.

For Foundation I've still been loving the No7 Stay Perfect foundation, I find that it doesn't stick to any dry patches on my face and seems to last all day...but then again that could be thanks to the Smashbox Primer. Concealer wise I've been using the NYX HD Concealer in 01, I've been using this to brighten under my eyes more so than concealing spots etc. Thankfully my skin hasn't been too bad this month and so I didn't have much to conceal away. Lastly as always my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder has been my go to.

For brows, I've been using the Freedom Brow Pomade religiously, I honestly love how this looks on my brows and literally I haven't touched a powder all month because of this product.
For eyes probably no surprise if you follow me on Instagram I have been absolutely obsessing over the Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette. It is honestly the most beautiful masterpiece I've ever laid my eyes on. I find the formula for these absolutely amazing and I cannot fault it in anyway!
For eyeliner I've been loving Rimmel's Scandaleyes Gel Liner and for mascara I've become obsessed with the Soap and Glory Thick & Fast mascara. I absolutely love how my lashes look after using this, I've already bought a spare to have because I've become so obsessed with it.

I've been flying through my NYX blush in Taupe for contouring, it is honestly the perfect contour shade for my pale skin. It almost has a grey undertone to it but somehow it works really well! For highlighting I've been using the Sleek Solstice palette. Since buying this back in July I have not used another highlight, this palette is just everything and the peach shade is my absolute go to!

Finally the one thing that probably has changed has been lipsticks. I've been using a lot of reds and nudes but I must admit I have been loving the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 53 Retro Red. 107 has also been making an appearance along with some Kylie Cosmetics nude liquid lipsticks.

And that was my makeup menu for the month of January. I've picked up quite a lot of new makeup this month so I cannot wait to see at the end of February what my most used pieces were. Of course a haul of all the new pieces I've added to my collection will be appearing real soon too.

What products were you loving in January?

  3. This is such a good mixture of products!
Kylie should open a shop in the UK so it's easier for us Brits to get hold of her products.
