My Current Makeup Menu

Makeup Menu
The weather is changing so much recently that it's got to a stage where I don't even know what to be wearing makeup wise, however it's got to the stage where my hands automatically just start grabbing at particular items everyday and so I've decided to share those products with you all. Recently I've been enjoying taking the time to do my makeup rather than doing it in a ten minute rush.

Base

I've finally found a new holy grail primer and this is now my second bottle of it. The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is the most amazing primer I've discovered recently. It keeps your makeup on all day no matter the weather or what you're doing. It's really lightweight and a little goes a long way which I really like about it. It's a tad expensive at €33.00 a tube but I've yet to come across a drugstore primer that actually works as well as the more expensive ones. When it comes to makeup products my primer is always the one thing I will splurge on.

Foundation wise for me personally you just cannot beat the Rimmel Match Perfection. I love the finish it gives my skin and find it really works well even if you do have dry skin. It isn't too cakey and it gives a really nice coverage.

A newer addition to my makeup collection is the Seventeen Stay Time 25 hr Foundation which I've tried a few times so far and have really liked it. It's not too cake and the colour is actually a decent match. I've been wanting to try this for the longest time and was so happy when I finally got my hands on it. I won't say too much though as a blog post is coming soon! ;)

Concealer wise I just can't beat my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. It conceals spots, dark circles & pretty much anything you want it too. It's affordable and it's just such a lovely product!

Finally I've still been loving the Smashbox Under Eye Primer. You put this on before your concealer and it helps de-puff the eyes and it also helps brighten them. It feels so lovely and soothing when you apply it and I'll definitely be buying a full sized one when I run out.

Brows & Eyes

I'm still absolutely loving the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows palette. I just think that the colour range is absolutely amazing and I really like the highlight shade too as it's not too in your face. I'd definitely recommend this if you're in the market for a new brow palette.

For eyeshadows right now I am currently obsessing over my Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette, have you ever seen a more gorgeous palette!? I use this when I'm not feeling lazy or when I know I'm going to be out for a few hours. The pigmentation is absolutely stunning and the shadows are so buttery. The quality is just breath-taking and I am so happy I picked this up because I would be kicking myself if I hadn't.

For the days where I'm feeling a little lazier or if I'm only stepping out of the house for an hour or so I use the Wet n Wild Sweet As Candy eye trio palette. The quality of these little palettes are so surprisingly brilliant that I'm so in love with them. I also really love how the look is already laid out for you so theres no work in thinking of where you want to put the shades. Perfect for those days where you roll out of bed a little too late!

For eyeliner I've recently been loving the Soap and Glory Supercat liner. It's so easy to apply because it's like a pen and so much quicker than applying gel liner. I do set this with a black shadow just to secure it in place for the day but I have to say I am starting to really like it.

Of course I have yet to stop using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I honestly cannot get enough of the look this gives my lashes. It just adds so much volume and length I am so obsessed. If you have yet to buy this I would 100% recommend it because personally it has become my holy grail and normally I hate mascaras that haven't a waterproof formula!

Face

For setting my under eye concealer I like to use the Seventeen Define & Conquer kit. The white powder in it is really brightening and just such a lovely product. It's smooth to apply and not powdery in any way. It also helps keep my concealer in place all day and allows it too look fresh all day long.

For setting my whole face I am loving the Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot powder. This is created for people with oily skin however even though thats not my skin type I love a good matte face and this is just amazing at achieving that and lasting all day long. Plus there is a mirror inside which comes in so handy when you're out and about and need a touch up. It is much more expensive (kind of) compared to my normal Rimmel Match Powder, but it definitely is well worth the money and the packaging is really sturdy!

For highlighting I am currently obsessing over the gorgeous No.7 Instant Radiance highlighter. This is such a gorgeous champagne shade and just gives the most gorgeous glow to the skin. Go give this a swatch the next time you're in Boots because I cannot get enough of it right now.

The Soap and Glory Solar Powder is currently my fave bronzer as it suits my pale skin so well. I've even hit pan on this (finally) as I've been using it so much but it's just such a gorgeous shade. Consisting of a dark brown and a lighter one, mixed together it just creates the perfect bronzed shade for me!

Finally for lips I haven't been wearing anything too adventurous. If I am going out for the day to enjoy myself I normally stick with a trusted red lip. My current pick is the Wet n Wild lipstick in Red Velvet which lasts quite well and the shade is just stunning. However more than often I've been sticking to the NYX Lip Plump Gloss in Nude which just gives a nice shine to the lips for an everyday look.
